Our story
Kept for the land, since 1949
The ranch came into our family in 1949. It was bought to keep a piece of the Hill Country natural, for the deer, the birds and everything else that lives here, and that is what it has been ever since. Generations of the same family have kept the fences, the trails and the live oaks, and watched the creek and the ponds fill and empty with the weather. Deer play in the fields, turkeys move through in large groups, coyotes live down on the creek, and our cows rotate pastures through the year.
We want to share it. Opening the gate, now and then, to the right events, tests, films and stays lets other people see what we see, and helps keep the land as it is. Everything we host is planned around the wildlife and the ground first.
